THE Joondalup Wolves face the only team that’s beaten them this season in what will be the game of the round in the State Basketball League on Saturday night.

The hosts challenge second-placed Geraldton in a topof-the-table clash at HBF Arena.

They also face Perth away on Friday night.

Since losing to the Buccs in Round 5, the Wolves have won 11 games straight, their biggest victory streak since 2012 when they achieved a run of 17 triumphs.

Both teams are coming off wins heading into the clash, with Geraldton beating Perth by 10 points and the Wolves taking care of Cockburn by nine points last Friday.

Jalen Billups led the 85-76 win for Joondalup at Wally Hagan Stadium with 27 points and nine rebounds against his old side. Trian Iliadis had five assists.

The woes continued for the women’s team, which dropped to an eighth-straight loss 75-55 against the ninth-placed Cougars.

Amy Kidner led the rebound count with eight and landed 18 points as the only player to score double figures.

The task does not get easier for the Wolves on Friday when they face fourth-placed Perth.

Trian Iliadis starred for the Wolves against Cockburn.
