BASED in the beautiful Hills landscape, St Brigid’s College has recently implemented a Bush School program for its early years.

The program aims to engage children in nature play experience and develop attitudes of respect, curiosity, wonder and awe of the natural world around them.

Bush School learning experiences develop children’s inquiry, exploration and discovery, and foster an appreciation of the natural environment.

Students have the opportunity to develop skills such as safe tool use, adhering to boundaries, caring for animals, fruit-bearing trees and running creeks.

St Brigid’s beautiful environmental setting allows for learning experiences to develop practices to promote sustainability and conservation, environmental awareness and provide a platform for ongoing environmental education.
