Swans in historic win
HISTORY was made in the WA Women’s Football League on Sunday at Leederville Oval, with Swan Districts making it a clean sweep.
Reigning league premiers Swan Districts went back-to-back in their fifthstraight league grand final against rivals Coastal Titans, winning 6.9 (45) to 2.1 (13).
It followed opening matches by the U18s and reserves, with the U18s winning the Rogers Cup against South Fremantle 25-15 and the reserves defeating East Fremantle 26-15.
Captain and best-on-ground Kara Donnellan said it was a black-and-white kind of a day.
