Info sought on se­ri­ous as­sault

MID­LAND De­tec­tives are seek­ing in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing a man who they be­lieve was se­ri­ously as­saulted in Swan View at the week­end.

Po­lice were called to Mid­land Hos­pi­tal on Sun­day, August 27 af­ter a 30-year-old man was brought to the emer­gency area with mul­ti­ple se­ri­ous in­juries.

The in­jured man had been taken to the hos­pi­tal by a friend.

Po­lice at­tended the hos­pi­tal and it was es­tab­lished that the man had been found in­jured in a park/laneway be­tween Chartwell Way and Tal­bot Road, Swan View. It is be­lieved he was the vic­tim of a se­ri­ous as­sault at that lo­ca­tion.

The in­jured man re­mains in a crit­i­cal con­di­tion in hos­pi­tal.

Any­one with in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing this in­ci­dent, or who saw or heard any­thing sus­pi­cious in the park ar­eas in the vicin­ity of Abing­don Road, Tal­bot Road, Chartwell Way and Churchill Drive be­tween mid­night and 3am on August 27 is asked to call Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 00.
