Feedback sought on library

THE City of Swan is calling on the community to have their say on the future of Guildford Library.

The City is reviewing Guildford library services due to the facility’s close proximity to Midland Library and low levels of usage.

City of Swan Mayor Mick Wainwright said the City needed feedback from the community to compile a report for Council that investigates a number of options, including closing the library.

“The City has launched a survey that aims to find out how, or if, you use the City’s libraries including the Guildford Library,” he said.

“The survey also asks for your thoughts on other types of resources, facilities or uses you could see in operating that space in the future and whether you would like to be involved in any future developments regarding the library.”

The survey is on the City’s website and submissions close on September 15.
