THE Com­mu­nity Arts Net­work (CAN) and Mun­dar­ing Arts Cen­tre (MAC) will hold a cre­ative in­dus­try net­work­ing event on Thurs­day.

The Septem­ber 7 event co­in­cides with MAC’s Habits of Horses ex­hi­bi­tion on show at the Mid­land Junc­tion Arts Cen­tre and will fea­ture an in­ter­ac­tive per­for­mance by the Mad­ji­til Moorna Choir.

Artists, arts work­ers or those in­ter­ested in com­mu­nity arts and cul­tural de­vel­op­ment can at­tend to learn more about the or­gan­i­sa­tions and min­gle with like-minded peo­ple.

As the new man­agers of the local arts cen­tre, MAC will talk about its fu­ture plans for the space be­fore the choir, led by Della Rae Mor­ri­son, per­forms and teaches par­tic­i­pants a song in Noon­gar.

The event is free for CAN and MAC mem­bers or $5 for non-mem­bers, with re­fresh­ments pro­vided.

It will run from 4pm to 5.30pm at the Mid­land Junc­tion Art Cen­tre, 276 Great Eastern High­way.
