Rail tops the agenda
COMMUTERS can expect completion of Forrestfield train station by 2020 as part of the ForrestfieldAirport Link, which was started by the previous state government.
This includes stations at Belmont and Perth Airport, with $1.4 million allocated to the project over the next four years.
The Government will undertake planning and develop a business case for extending the Midland train line to Bellevue, with funding set aside to purchase land in for the future station.
It has followed through on its promise for an overpass at the intersection of Kalamunda Road and Roe Highway, High Wycombe, with $86m to be delivered over the next four years.
Schools in the region have received a boost, with $10m to the Darling Range Sports College for new and upgraded facilities delivered over 2018-19 to 2020-21. There will be new primary schools built in Caversham South ($15.6m in 2018-19 and 2019-20) and Brabham ($15.6m in 2018-19 to 202021), as well as funds to Caversham Primary School for an undercover area.
