Fire destroys house
ARSON Squad Detectives investigating a suspicious house fire in Bellevue last weekend have appealed for information from the public.
Emergency services received reports of a fire at the unoccupied home on Clayton Street near the Henkin Street roundabout just after midnight on April 7.
Nearby resident Joanne Shroff thanked police officers and firefighters who attended.
A WA Police spokeswoman said the fire destroyed the weatherboard home and asbestos was found within the building.
“Detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in area around the time of the fire or earlier in the evening who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles,” she said.
