A message to our readers

Kalamunda Reporter - - News -

COMMUNITY News, the publisher of the Midland and Kalamunda Reporter, recently undertook an exhaustive review of all our newspapers and digital publishing channels.

The review looked at how well we engage with our readers, the economic conditions across Perth and in each community, and how we could ensure we have a sustainable business to bring news and information to Perth’s residents well into the future.

During this review we recognised we have an increasingly engaged audience on our digital platforms – our website communitynews.com.au, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

There is also continued demand by readers for local news in printed form.

However, economic conditions and changing media buying habits mean that in the Midland and Kalamunda areas it is no longer viable to create, produce and deliver a local newspaper.

We have therefore made the difficult decision to stop production of the printed newspaper in your area, the Midland and Kalamunda Reporter. The final edition will be delivered to your home or local pick-up point on September 4.

We will, however, continue to provide terrific local content on our digital platforms and will be looking at ways to enhance the experience.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to bringing you more great content online.
