Airport changes

Kalgoorlie Miner - - NEWS -

Kambalda Airport will no longer receive flights on Fridays because of insufficient passenger numbers.

The Shire of Coolgardie leases the airport to St Ives Gold Mining Company, part of Goldfields Australia.

A written request to extend the airport lease was presented at Tuesday night’s council meeting, which also stated Monday flights were subject to an ongoing review.

Goldfields Australia human resources manager John Goodall said the changes were not a concern and Skippers Aviation would continue to provide regular public transport seats, having secured a three-month sublet contract.
