EBookshop launched

Kalgoorlie Miner - - MINE TALK -

The Department of Mines and Petroleum says its new-look ebookshop will assist in the search for more WA minerals, oil and gas.

Mines and Petroleum Minister Bill Marmion last week launched the revamped service, which provides electronic access to almost 5000 products available from the Geological Survey of WA.

Mr Marmion said GSWA’s main role was to provide world-class geoscience information.

“Now this is even more accessible to help researchers and explorers target the mines of tomorrow,” he said.

The eBookshop features a completely new system allowing secure credit card purchasing, with some maps, USB data packages and nine premium publications available as hard copies.

Geological survey maps, records, reports, bulletins and non-series books cannot be bought in hard copy, but are all available free as PDF files which can be downloaded.
