Don Quixote inspires art exhibit
An army of giants is going to invade the Cannery Arts Centre in Esperance next week.
Tilting at Windmills, a new Art on the Move exhibition, will open at the arts centre next week, with a variety of 3D art pieces to debut from next Friday until July 26.
The exhibition takes its name from an incidence in the 17th century Spanish novel Don Quixote, in which the main character mistakes windmills for giants and charges forth to do battle with them.
Taking the theme of miscommunication, artist Denise V Brown has created a number of pieces exploring the frustration and isolation that can result from an inability to understand those around us.
