Smith, Rowe and Del­lar share spoils

David Smith, Stephen Rowe and Neil Del­lar shared the train­ing hon­ours in the last three events at Sun­day’s Kal­go­or­lie-Boul­der Rac­ing Club meet­ing.

In race 5, Shaun Meeres guided Smith-trained $8 chance Ven­erdi to a half-head vic­tory over Tom Almighty (Joseph Az­zopardi).

Pas­sages (Jor­dan Turner) was third, with the $3.20 favourite Casino Gleam rel­e­gated to fifth be­hind Im­mense.

Rowe won the money when Pharo­mac (Ryan Hill) edged Prost (Az­zopardi) by a short neck in the $17,500 Rail­ways Football Club Hand­i­cap (1400m).

In the last, Del­lar’s charge Smart As A Fox (Jake Casey) beat Fair Achiever by a head over 1400m.

Rac­ing at Kal­go­or­lie Race­course con­tin­ues on Sun­day with the Cool­gar­die Race Day.

The an­nual Race Round, which was launched yesterday, of­fi­cially gets un­der way with the Cool­gar­die Cup on Septem­ber 6.
