With their bargain hunting eyes on the prowl and their bidding arms ready and waiting, more than 100 people gathered to launch the 30th annual Boulder Rotary RadioWest Auction last week.

During the Murphy Boyden Cocktail Party at the Tower Hotel last Friday, lucky Goldfielders had first pick at a selection of this year’s 250 donated items, before they hit the auction website.

Auctioneer Steve Mills was busy selling everything from crochet blankets and ducks, to more high-priced items such as jewellery and football memorabilia, throughout the evening.

A total of $14,700 was raised on the night, which got the auction off to a great start to reach its $50,000 goal throughout the week-long fundraiser.

The auction is running online at www.radioauction.net.au until 4pm tomorrow.
