All change at Regis Resources
Regis Resources founder Nick Giorgetta is stepping down as chairman of the WA gold miner after six years as part of a major board reshuffle announced yesterday.
Mr Giorgetta will take a back seat, but will continue as a non-executive director of the company, with managing director Mark Clark taking on an executive chairman role and chief operating officer Paul Thomas elevated to an executive director role.
Non-executive director Mark Okeby will become deputy chair- man and board member Frank Fergusson will retire.
Mr Giorgetta, who will chair his final annual general meeting on November 12, said he had great confidence in the capability of the new Regis executive team.
“The transition of Mark Clark to executive chairman is a positive outcome for Regis and will ensure that the unique culture of the organisation that we have worked hard to create continues,” he said.
Regis operates the Duketon gold project near Laverton, with its Moolart Well, Garden Well and Rosemont mines producing 75,416oz during the September quarter.
Nick Giorgetta will chair his last annual general meeting as chairman of Resources on November 12.
