Two Blues all set to take on Viewers
First-placed Great Boulder hope to exploit a struggling Lake View and extend their lead when Goldfields A-grade turf cricket resumes tomorrow.
Great Boulder boast six wins, alongside two losses and a draw, to hold a one-game buffer over North Kalgoorlie.
All-rounder Mitch Carter has been named for his first A-grade game outside the Twenty20 format with the Two Blues at Cruickshank Sports Arena.
Lake View have not won since round 1, but Great Boulder coach Mel Gallagher was not getting ahead of himself.
“They beat us in round 1 and our other games against them have been quite competitive,” he said.
“We’re very mindful that they’ve got some good players back since very early in the season.
“It’s important we keep the momentum going, because apart from a couple of Twenty20 wins, the real stuff starts again Sunday.
“Most of our guys are back on deck and available, and hopefully in six weeks time we’re still in a good position for the finals.”
Also tomorrow, defending premiers Hannans will look to draw level with secondplaced Norths in a grand final replay at Wallace Park.
