Service to honour fallen
Community members will pause this weekend to remember those who fought in all wars during a Remembrance Day service in Boulder.
At 11am on Sunday, the Returned and Service League Boulder sub branch will hold a Remembrance Day service at the cenotaph in Loopline Park. The service will include a wreath-laying ceremony and speeches by Vietnam veteran Vic Dale and Boulder RSL president Jan LeBrun.
The John Paul College choir will sing both the New Zealand and Australian anthems. Ms LeBrun said the community was encouraged to stay after the service to enjoy a free sausage sizzle. “The service is all about remembering the fallen and all of those who fought,” she said. “But afterwards we’d like to show appreciation for everything we have, everything they have given us, everything they have died for.”
