Kwinana Courier - - Opinion -

IN America, a woman in pyjamas approaches a policeman and is shot by that officer's senior partner; a peaceful woman is killed. In Australia, a man brandishing a machete slices a policeman's head open and is tasered by that officer's junior partner; a dangerous man is arrested.

If Australia does not want to be condemned to become the worst of what is America, our junior police officer deserves a commendation and our police service deserves a pay rise. Mark Dyer, Rockingham
