Woman charged with scald­ing Trudi Lenon

A 35-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with scald­ing Trudi Lenon, the woman con­victed of mur­der­ing Rock­ing­ham teen Aaron Pa­jich, by pour­ing hot wa­ter over her.

Mid­land de­tec­tives charged the woman at Bandyup Women’s Prison, where 44-year-old Lenon re­ceived se­ri­ous burns.

Police al­lege that the woman poured a con­tainer of boil­ing wa­ter over Lenon at 8.25am on Jan­uary 1.

Lenon was taken to Fiona Stan­ley hos­pi­tal, where she is still be­ing treated for her in­juries.

Police said an­other pris­oner, a 47-year-old fe­male stand­ing nearby at the time of the in­ci­dent, re­ceived mi­nor burn in­juries.

The woman has been charged with two charges of caus­ing bod­ily harm or dan­ger. She is due to ap­pear at Mid­land Mag­is­trates Court on Fe­bru­ary 2.
