HALE AND HEARTY
GLOBE-trotting hypnotist Matt Hale is back on home soil for his Fringe World show Mindfoolness throughout January and February.
Hale, who is always on the move, recently finished a stint on the fourth-largest cruise ship in the world, Ovation of the Seas.
But when asked where he had been since the last time he caught up with Community News about 10 months ago, he said it was easier to list where he’d been in the past 10 days.
“I’ve been to New Zealand, New Caledonia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Sydney and now back in Perth,” he said.
“It was an honour to perform on that cruise ship; the theatres and stages on cruise ships rival those on land with the production quality.
“And it is incredible to walk out to an audience of a couple of thousand people.”
The Scarborough resident, who sold out 44 Fringe World shows last year, said in his latest show he wanted to encourage audience members to empower themselves.
“Last year I did more keynote speeches than I had before as a mind hacks expert explaining how to use short cuts of the mind,” he said.
“Mindfoolness is a play on words; we fool our minds all the time.
“I think you give yourself better outcomes by the way you think.”
Hale will perform 29 shows from January 27 to February 23 at Sunset Verandah in Scarborough, Elizabeth’s Palace at Elizabeth Quay and The Flour Factory.
Tickets range from $21 to $31.
