Rob­bery at gun­point

PO­LICE are in­ves­ti­gat­ing an in­ci­dent at ‘Wa­ter Tank’ carpark where a man struck a woman with a hand­gun af­ter de­mand­ing she hand over cash.

Po­lice said the armed rob­bery oc­curred in Bal­divis on Sun­day, Jan­uary 21.

About 4pm, two women were at the ‘Wa­ter Tank’ carpark area on Kar­nup Road near the in­ter­sec­tion of Bal­divis Road. They were there to in­spect a car they were in­ter­ested in buy­ing.

About 4.15pm, po­lice said two men driv­ing a black Ford Ter­ri­tory went to the same carpark and ap­proached the women.

Po­lice said one of the men, be­lieved to be the driver of the Ter­ri­tory, re­moved a hand­gun from his pants pointed it at one of the women and de­manded she hand over cash.

Po­lice said a strug­gle fol­lowed, re­sult­ing in one of the woman be­ing struck across the fore­head with the gun.

The other woman man­aged to get on to the road and stop a pass­ing ve­hi­cle for as­sis­tance.

The men left the area in the Ford Ter­ri­tory.

The man driv­ing the Ter­ri­tory is de­scribed as be­ing aged be­tween 23 and 29, about 173cms tall with shaved black hair, tanned skin, medium build, wear­ing sun­glasses, a grey Tshirt and dark pants.

He an­swered to the name of Pablo.

The male pas­sen­ger in the Ter­ri­tory is aged be­tween 23 and 29, about 165cms tall, blonde shaved hair­cut, a solid build and wear­ing white shorts, a black T-shirt and thick black sun­glasses.

Po­lice are ask­ing any­one who was in the area who may have seen the in­ci­dent, or who recog­nise the two men in the pic­tures, to call Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 000.

The two sus­pects wanted for ques­tion­ing over the armed hold-up in Wa­ter Tank carpark.
