Robbery at gunpoint
POLICE are investigating an incident at ‘Water Tank’ carpark where a man struck a woman with a handgun after demanding she hand over cash.
Police said the armed robbery occurred in Baldivis on Sunday, January 21.
About 4pm, two women were at the ‘Water Tank’ carpark area on Karnup Road near the intersection of Baldivis Road. They were there to inspect a car they were interested in buying.
About 4.15pm, police said two men driving a black Ford Territory went to the same carpark and approached the women.
Police said one of the men, believed to be the driver of the Territory, removed a handgun from his pants pointed it at one of the women and demanded she hand over cash.
Police said a struggle followed, resulting in one of the woman being struck across the forehead with the gun.
The other woman managed to get on to the road and stop a passing vehicle for assistance.
The men left the area in the Ford Territory.
The man driving the Territory is described as being aged between 23 and 29, about 173cms tall with shaved black hair, tanned skin, medium build, wearing sunglasses, a grey Tshirt and dark pants.
He answered to the name of Pablo.
The male passenger in the Territory is aged between 23 and 29, about 165cms tall, blonde shaved haircut, a solid build and wearing white shorts, a black T-shirt and thick black sunglasses.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area who may have seen the incident, or who recognise the two men in the pictures, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
