CRIME FIGURES DOWN BUT STAY VIGILANT: POLICE

Kwinana Courier - - Street Watch -

OVERALL Kwinana Police subdistrict is fairing well this year on crime figures, compared not only to last year but the five year average. The main suburbs of concern are the Kwinana Town Centre and Wellard. Calista and Medina continue to move above the average so we continue to ask everyone to remain vigilant. Kwinana Town Centre is a little unique, the shopping precinct is increasing in size, so therefore more opportunities to steal items, while new residences going up has also seen an increase in burglary and

motor vehicle theft. While we work hard daily to identify, apprehend and prosecute the people committing offences, we regularly ask for help in identifying them from images in the local papers, Twitter and Facebook. If you know them, tell us. Don't presume that another person will tell us. We need information from everyone to ensure the identification is made. This can be done by calling the station on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
