Devenish pensioner Allen Spencer filled his car up with $50 worth of petrol recently in Benalla and when he went to pay for it, was told that a good samaritan had beat him to it.

Allen hasn’t a clue who it was but approached the local paper, the Benalla Ensign, to run a story to convey his sincere thanks to the generous person.
