Kyabram class dresses down for a cause
ST AUGUSTINE’S foundation class and teacher Bree Guerra were all smiles when they showed up to school last Friday morning.
On top of enjoying a blissful few extra minutes of sleep, they finally experienced the luxury of wearing their PJs to school.
But teachers assured the Free Press the swarm of onesie-clad children weren’t the result of a widespread laziness epidemic in St Aug’s parents.
These kids were using their PJs for a purpose.
As part of the Vinnies Winter Appeal, students dressed up in pyjamas to raise awareness of the comforts many people do not enjoy.
Money raised last Friday – together with any food items or socks donated throughout the month of June – will all go towards continuing Vinnies’ lifechanging work in our community.
