He’s US bound

TATURA’S An­thony Lu­cas (pic­tured) will soon fly to the United States, after an­nounc­ing he had signed with US record la­bel In­da­soul Records this year.

With the aim of record­ing an EP, the op­por­tu­nity comes off the back of his strong show­ing on Aus­tralian tele­vi­sion’s X Fac­tor in 2015 when he wowed judges and reached the boot camp stage of the com­pe­ti­tion.

The teenager, who be­gan per­form­ing at just six years old, also took his tal­ents to lo­cal stages last year when he per­formed on a re­gional tour across Vic­to­ria and NSW.

Soon to leave his par­ents in Tatura, Lu­cas said he could not wait for the project to be­gin.

‘‘I hope I can make Tatura and the Shep­par­ton re­gion proud,’’ he said.

Lu­cas will have a jam-packed pro­gram of record­ing ahead of him while also film­ing on-lo­ca­tion mu­sic videos.

Pro­duc­tion di­rec­tor Marc Wil­liams said he was look­ing for­ward to mak­ing some hits with the emerg­ing 18-year-old Aus­tralian artist.
