Tears of joy

Kyabram Free Press - - NEWS -

COLOURFUL Riverina race caller Alan Hull couldn’t resist when describing a gallops race at Wagga last week when a horse called Don’t Cry Baby was sailing towards the finishing line well clear of her rivals.

‘‘If you have backed her you can put away your tissues,’’ Hull yelled.

And while mentioning race horses, that Kyabram punter who took a mystery quadrella bet on a country NSW meeting last week was pretty happy with the dividend he got from the four winners although he had only 3 per cent of it.

The quaddie paid a whopping $36,000 and his percentage, as small as it was from a modest outlay, reaped a dividend of nearly $2,000.
