Cottage snapped up
A PIECE of Echuca’s history has gone under the hammer.
Charlotte’s Cottage, named after Echuca founder Henry Hopwood’s wife, was knocked down for $810,000 after bids from four parties at auction last Saturday week.
The new Melbourne owners intend to use it as a holiday home and also as a rental property.
The home is situated between the Murray and Campaspe Rivers on 900 square metres and has three bedrooms, three bathrooms a study, two living places and a modern commercial kitchen.
