Kyabram Free Press - - WEDNESDAY EXTRA -

WELCOME to Seniors Week — or is it a month? There are catalogues telling of all the events that seniors can attend and free travel is available on public transport for a week during the month. These booklets are available at the club room on Lake Road or at the Shire offices in Lake Road. Let’s hope that you can all get out and enjoy yourselves. There is an invitation to Nagambie on October 10 at 1pm. Bowls winners last week were Elaine Coram, Barry Cartwright, Marj Tarrant and Dave Coram. Cards winners were Ian Stone, Leo Comer and Dorothy Anderson. Details of the Rochester game day are on the board at the club and names need to be on the board. It is on October 25 in Rochester. The morning of fashion takes place at the Lake Road club on October 12 at 10.30am with a lucky door prize and morning tea. The club’s birthday ison October 20. Get well wishes to any members in hospital or housebound, hope to see you about again soon. Mr Nesbitt is running a bus trip on October 14 and enquiries can be made to him.

THIS week we had a lovely spring day to have a barbecue with all the trimmings — onions, potatoes and a spring pea salad — enjoyed by all out in the sun. Next week we may stay inside and play bingo.

Joy did bring in a few old albums and we talked about the old days.

To join us, come to the Girgarre Community Cottage from 10.30am to 2pm on Tuesday.
