Bull­dogs in the spot­light

IT WAS a star-stud­ded evening on Thurs­day when the Kyabram District Foot­ball Netball League held its pre­sen­ta­tion night.

Vi­o­let Town’s Sam Poole was named the McNa­mara medal­list after a best-on-ground per­for­mance in the fi­nal round of the sea­son, while the Lan­caster 15-and-un­der team took home the pre­mier­ship flag.

Mer­rigum shone on the night, named Most Dis­ci­plined Club and with Jorja Tran­ter the Scoble Medal win­ner, Sa­muel Lan­g­ley the Inch Medal win­ner, Jack Sin­clair Rookie of the Year and Tony Kil­martin Ad­min­is­tra­tor of the Year.

Mer­rigum Re­serves’ Tris­tan Fitzsim­mons also scooped up a goal-kick­ing award for slot­ting a stel­lar 91 goals this sea­son.

And the awards just kept com­ing for our district, with Good Sports Awards go­ing to Gir­garre’s Sheree Star­ling (A-grade), Stan­hope’s Daniele Cooper (B-grade) and Lan­caster’s Ella Jack­son (17-an­dun­der).
