PRES­I­DENT Lois McDon­ald wel­comed mem­bers to the Novem­ber meet­ing held at the Kyabram RSL Hall.

A thank you let­ter from the P-12 Col­lege for the do­na­tion of two mugs for use in the sick bay was re­ceived.

Dates for next year to re­mem­ber: Group con­fer­ence at Harston on Fe­bru­ary 15. Group lunch com­bined with the 90th birth­day cel­e­bra­tions of CWA in Vic­to­ria to be held at Harston Hall.

Branch was con­grat­u­lated on win­ning first prize at Kyabram Show for their en­try, thank you to Heather Fehring for set­ting it up.

Ruth Gold­ing re­ported that for­mer mem­ber Daphne McColl had been very ill, a card is to be sent with our best wishes. Morna Blythe re­ported for­mer mem­ber Pat McLeod was en­joy­ing life at Co­lac.

The De­cem­ber meet­ing will be held at Mau­reen Sheers’ on De­cem­ber 6 at 10.30am. The branch will wind up the year with lunch at the Kyabram Club on De­cem­ber 13.

After lunch, pres­i­dent Lois McDon­ald wel­comed group pres­i­dent Lyn Tre­size and her group sec­re­tary to the 69th an­nual meet­ing of the Lan­caster branch of the CWA. Meet­ing opened with the col­lect.

Pres­i­dent Lois McDon­ald and sec­re­tary Mau­reen Sheers gave com­pre­hen­sive re­ports on the year’s ac­tiv­i­ties.

Group pres­i­dent took the chair for the elec­tion of of­fice bear­ers for next year. Pres­i­dent Lois McDon­ald, vice pres­i­dent Ruth Gold­ing, sec­re­tary Mau­reen Sheers and trea­surer Heather Fehring.

The group pres­i­dent then gave some in­for­ma­tion on what would be hap­pen­ing at state level for this year.

State fair to be held at Umina on De­cem­ber 2. Two fruit cakes were do­nated.

Dates to re­mem­ber for 2018: State con­fer­ence at Wil­liamstown May 31 un­til June 2. Cre­ative arts ex­hi­bi­tion at Leon­gatha Thurs­day, Au­gust 2 and Fri­day, Au­gust 3. Cel­e­bra­tions for the 90th birth­day of CWA Vic­to­ria will be held through­out the state.

Group pres­i­dent and sec­re­tary were thanked for their at­ten­dance and pre­sented with a gift.

Com­pe­ti­tion win­ners for the year: Best bloom, first Heather Fehring, sec­ond Lois McDon­ald.

Meet­ing closed with the motto after which af­ter­noon tea was served.
