Grants find good homes

CAM­PASPE Shire Coun­cil has dis­trib­uted more than $4000 in grants across the com­mu­nity.

Kyabram’s Mak­isacc Lap­worth re­ceived $300 in Septem­ber to help with flights, ac­com­mo­da­tion, meals and a uni­form to rep­re­sent Vic­to­ria in the North­ern Di­vi­sion U15 Ju­nior Gold Cup in Bris­bane.

A $1000 grant went to Kyabram Swim­ming Club to host a two-day swim­ming meet at the Echuca War Me­mo­rial Aquatic Cen­tre.

An­other $1000 grant was pre­sented to Rush­worth Events Group sub-group Fire in the Belly Film Project to help with the premier screen­ing of its short film made in Rush­worth.

Grants were also given to sup­port the Rochester Busi­ness Net­work Men­tor­ing Project and Crossen­vale Com­mu­nity House’s Hal­loween event.

The Re­spon­sive Grants Pro­gram pro­vides fund­ing for com­mu­nity ini­tia­tives that meet spec­i­fied cri­te­ria. An amount of $50,000 is al­lo­cated in the 2017-18 bud­get.
