THERE’S no denying Australians love their lamb.
And the latest news from Fitzgerald’s Farm Fresh Meats will have everyone’s mouths watering.
It’s official – Kyabram has Victoria’s best lamb snags.
The Australian Meat and Industry Council have crowned our very own Fitzgerald’s Butchers on Allan St as the 2017 Lamb Sausage Kings of Victoria.
Owner Joel Fitzgerald said the award was a welcome shock.
“It was really great to have the recognition,’’ he said.
‘‘And it did come as a bit of a surprise.
“We won the regional finals and the state finals.
‘‘The Australian title is announced in February, so we’ll see.
“The winning combo was our grassfed Australian lamb with roasted capsicum, sundried tomato, spinach and fetta.
‘‘All of our beef and lamb is grassfed, we source it from our own farm.’’
The national finals will be announced early next year and so begins the wait.
