Policeman Pat on TV

Kyabram Free Press - - NEWS -

THERE was a familiar face on the popular Heather Ewart-presented Back Roads series on ABC television last week.

Local policeman Pat Storer featured in the episode when Heather visited Violet Town.

Pat was a well-respected law officer in Kyabram for several years before moving in the force to Violet Town where he runs a one-man station.

It was clear that Pat — as he did when in Ky — has won over the Violet Town locals with his community involvement and compassion for the gay community of that district. He has even installed a rainbow flag at the Violet Town Police Station.

Heather is no stranger to Violet Town, having attended the town’s famous bush markets there when she was growing up in nearby Murchison.

Heather’s husband is renowned political reporter Barrie Cassidy, who once worked as a journalist for the Shepparton News.
