KYABRAM and in particular its football and cricket communities are mourning the passing of Trevor Stone.

Trevor, 72, who lost his battle with cancer last week, has left a wonderful legacy, which close friend Gus Underwood explains in a tribute in his ‘Sports Snaps’ on page 12 today.

Trevor’s funeral is being held tomorrow (Thursday) with a service at St Augustine’s Church at 2pm, followed by burial at the Kyabram Cemetery. Fittingly, a wake will follow at the Wilf Cox Complex at the Kyabram Recreation Reserve where he spent much of his time over the last half century.

Kyabram footballers honoured Trevor last Saturday by wearing black armbands in the match against Rochester.
