Women invited to talk health
WOMEN from around the region are invited to take part in a free women’s forum at the Rushworth Anglican Church Hall on tomorrow, September 6.
The forum will be part of Women’s Health Week, which runs from September 3-7.
While the forum is particularly aimed at women in agriculture, all women from around the region are invited to attend.
The forum will run from 11am until 2pm and will focus on the health of the mind and body.
A female GP will speak on the day, as well as a psychologist and continence nurse.

“Many of the women in our geographical area are involved in dairy farming and as is so common in the continuing battle to hold family and farm together they often put everything first and themselves last.
“The forum will be an opportunity to get off the farm, talk to other women in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy a meal and take away information which can help sustain their health and wellbeing.”
The organising committee has received funding to help with transport to and from the session for women based in the Kyabram, Stanhope and Girgarre area.
