Kyabram Free Press - - NEWS -

LAST week we had a lovely day in-house. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. On arrival we warmed ourselves outside in the glorious sunshine (gee, we missed it over winter). Everyone brought a plate to share so we sat around eating and chatting. The general consensus is what a fabulous year we have had. The scheduled activities and outings this year have been fantastic — really interesting and varied, we are a lucky bunch.

Getting ready for summer and our bikini bodies, we had a no carb lunch ... LOL.

We had our tech session and it was great. We explored our new iPads, learning to open apps, be aware of ads, how to close unwanted pop-ups and enjoyed a few brain training word games. Laughs were had by all.

KYABRAM seniors welcomed 16 visitors from Rochester Club to enjoy a great lunch and part of our games day thanks to the cooks and committee for the food. We now look forward to our birthday celebrations on October 19, and all other activities coming up. Card winners on games day were Mavis Job, Moira Anderson, Julie Rutter, Worm Ackerly, Margaret Herman and Pat Anderson and Corey Waggerink. Winner at 500s were Judy and Sandor Gurbam, Gwen Hoslding and Bess Wood. Bowls winners were Brian Renshaw, Elaine, Dave Coram, Berry Edwards, Lyn Gardiner, John Tarrant, Don Drayton and Geoff Vick. We would like to see many more of our members attending club functions and we welcome visitors. Get well wishes to any members in hospital or housebound.
