Snake bites boy, 2
AFTER a report in the Free Press last week on the staggering amount of snake activity being reported of late it has been revealed a two-year-old Cohuna boy also was treated for a bite last week.
This followed a 73-year-old Nathalia man recovering after being bitten on a day when there were three other human snake bite victims reported across the state.
One Kyabram farmer has since told Traps he had seen four snakes on one day at his property while a Lancaster woman reported sighting three large snakes making their way under her home.
Last week the Lancaster veterinary clinic revealed 20 cases of pet cats and dogs suffering snake bites over a two-week period.
Dr Judith Mulholland, of the Lancaster veterinary clinic, advised anyone who suspected an animal could be suffering snake bite to act immediately and get it to a vet to improve the chances of the bite not proving deadly.
