Laptop’s a lightweight
HUAWEI is not a known name in computers. In fact they’re still fairly new in phones, their current bread and butter. But the new Matebook X is the company’s latest attempt to break into the laptop market.
It might look like (and the name sounds just like) Apple’s MacBook, but the Matebook X is a Windows laptop aimed at portability.
Marketed as a 13-inch screen smaller than a A4 sheet of paper, the Matebook X is so thin it is nearly too small for some ports. Like the impressive Dell XPS13 the Matebook X features a screen that is nearly without bezels. But the size factor does mean the machine doesn’t have a big battery – just 5449mAh and that may limit its appeal. Australian price TBA
