The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital Breast Clinic
The clinic has an Australian-first mammography information system.
The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital’s Breast Clinic is a multi-disciplinary facility offering an optimal environment for the diagnosis of all breast problems as well as providing information, referral and support for all women who have concerns about their breasts. Modelled on The Wesley Hospital’s renowned Breast Clinic in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast women no longer need to travel to Brisbane to access similar services. A state-of-the-art facility purpose-built onsite,The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital in Buderim features the latest technology and equipment, including 3D mammography, ultrasounds and an Australian-first mammography information system. The clinic also provides women with peace of mind on the day they visit so they can leave knowing where the stand, rather than nervously waiting for a call a few days later. In all its activities, the Breast Clinic seeks to work in close cooperation with medical practitioners involved in the care of those who attend. If requested by the referring doctor, the Breast Clinic will assist with referral for ongoing management. The Breast Clinic opened in March 2015, and by September 2015 the Clinic took on administering the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Program, which was established in 2008. The program is now in its 10th year, and The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital Breast Clinic encourages the community to get behind its local breast cancer appeal this October and support the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Program’s 2017 PINKUp for PINKTOBER® campaign.
