Craft: Spectacular Sparkle Jars

Little Angel - - CONTENTS -

Add some sparkle to your life with these easy to make glitter jars. They make great decorations and are also soothing to watch after shake them!

What to do:

Step 1: Make sure your jars are clean and then squirt a generous amount of glitter glue into the jar. Try to aim directly into the centre. Step 2: Pour water into the jar about a third of the way. Then stir the water and glitter glue together with the stick or skewer so that they mix together and you break up the glitter glue clumps.

Step 3: Add in a generous amount of clear glue. We poured enough in so that the jar was about halfway full, but it will depend on the size of your jar. Then add in a small drop or two of food colouring and stir the mixture together. (You don’t want your mixture to get too dark otherwise you won’t be able to see the glitter move around in the jar.) The glue should make the mixture less watery, which is a good thing!

Step 4: Add in the glitter. We put in enough so that the jar was just under 3/4s full. Stir it around so that the glitter mixes well with the rest of the mixture.

Step 5: Top the rest of the jar with water, but don’t fill it right up to the top! The mixture still needs a little bit of space to move around. Put the lid on and give the jar a little shake. If you’re happy with how the glitter moves inside, glue the lid to the jar. If you think it’s too watery, add more clear glue until you’re happy with the consistency. Step 6: Repeat steps 1-6 with another jar and a different colour. Then your jars are ready to go. Happy sparkle shaking!
