CHEESY Vegemite Scrolls

Little Angel - - CLEVER ANGEL -


• 3 cups plain flour • 2 ½ ta­ble­spoons McKen­zie’s Bak­ing Pow­der • 1 pinch salt • 50g but­ter, at room tem­per­a­ture • 375 mL milk • 3 ta­ble­spoons Vegemite • 200g tasty shred­ded cheese


STEP 1. Pre­heat your oven to 200°C. Sift flour, bak­ing pow­der and salt into a bowl.

STEP 2. Use your hands to rub the but­ter into the mix­ture un­til it looks like bread­crumbs. Slowly stir in milk to form a soft dough be­fore knead­ing gen­tly. Sprin­kle a light layer of flour on your bench first to pre­vent your dough from stick­ing!

STEP 3. Use a rolling pin to flat­ten the dough into a large rec­tan­gle, about 40cm x 25cm. Spread Vegemite and cheese over the dough then roll it up. Cut up the roll to form smaller pieces and sprin­kle with ex­tra cheese. Cook for 15-20 min­utes or un­til golden.
