Let’s a go-go with with JoJo!

We hung out with JoJo while she was Down Under and asked her everything about fashion and style!

Little Angel - - STYLE ANGEL -

Hey JoJo! Did you enjoy your time in Australia?

I love it here. I’m moving to Australia one day. I don’t know when, but I’m moving, I’m doing it.

What’s been your favourite thing about Australia?

I love the beaches, and I love your accents! I actually love the food this time, but I don’t like Vegemite too much… Like I’d try it again, but I wouldn’t pick it, y’know?

The video for your song High

TopShoes is so much fun! Was it exciting to film?

It was super fun! We did a two day shoot – a day for the baseball scene and another for the basketball and bus scene. It was crazy.

Your life is certainly a bit crazy right now, flying all over the world to perform. What do you do when you have some time to yourself?

One of my favourite things to do is to film and edit my videos, which is fun and helps me get ahead on work. We’ve had a lot of down time here in Australia, which has been amazing. We’ve gotten to go to the zoo, we went to some of the beaches, we went to the mall one day and tonight we might go bowling! So yeah, we’ve done a lot of fun things.

We know you’re a huge fashionista and trend setter. How would you describe your style?

For me, a classic outfit would be rainbow shoes – definitely high tops or some other crazy design – with a calmer pant. Now when I say calmer I mean neon yellow or neon pink, or one with a pattern. And then I would go with a cool T-shirt, usually one that has

my face on it, and then a cute little varsity letterman jacket. Anything rainbow, anything with rhinestones, anything that’s like bright and sparkly.

How many pairs of high top shoes do you own?

Oh boy, A LOT. Way too many, way too many.

Do you make or customise your own clothes?

Oh yeah I do! Like my Slime Fest outfits, my Mum and I were literally up to 2-3am rhinestoning my outfit the night before! One year for the Kids’ Choice Awards I wore a T-shirt that we bought with a girl’s face on it, and then we rhinestoned her face and I wore it on the Kids’ Choice Awards red carpet. It was everything!

You’re also known for your signature ponytail – do you have any tips for styling the perfect ponytail?

Just use lots of hair gel, lots of hair spray, lots of wax – anything you can put in your hair, put it in and you’ll get there. You might get a headache at first, but then it goes away. For me, it’s now reversed – now I get a headache when I don’t have a ponytail! It’s the weirdest thing.

Can you share some style tips with Little Angels readers?

Never be afraid to wear something that’s bright and screams you. Never never. You should be afraid to wear something dark and boring!

Do you have a message for your Australian fans?

If I could tell them anything, it would be to have fun, be themselves, be confident, follow their dreams and to just go for it. Don’t look back!
