Why BAREFOOT means better health!

Do you remember the last time you walked barefoot on the beach or through the grass? How good did it feel? In today’s busy world there’s little time to kick off our shoes and enjoy this barefoot connection, as we did as kids, but that is about to change w

Earthing could be life changing for you or your family. It’s a natural healing method that requires NO medications, NO time wasted, NO effort and can be done outside or in the comfort of your own home when it suits you.

So what is Earthing? Well it’s simply making barefoot contact with the Earth’s natural surface and that allows your body to be grounded. This naturally discharges or even eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. Inflammation has said to be the root cause of most modern diseases today – so getting rid of it is a huge bonus for your health, general well-being and longevity. Even though this barefoot connection seems relatively simple, our modern ways have formed a barrier between our bodies and the Earth’s surface. Rubber-soled shoes, carpet, more time indoors, electronics and high-rise buildings are just some of the culprits that stop us forming this physical connection with the Earth.

It’s simple to try Earthing: go outside, sit or stand with your bare feet on the Earth and after about 30 minutes you should feel stress and pain ease from your body. The more time you can do it the better! But in reality many of us don’t have the luxury to spend barefoot time outdoors. However, in recent years, products have been developed to bring this connection into our homes and workplaces; so you can sleep, relax and work grounded every day without even thinking about it, while reaping all the health benefits!

Earthing is truly amazing and, to discover all the health benefits, we recommend you read the award-winning “Earthing Book” available at Barefoot Healing or online bookstores.

If you’ve ever wondered if it were possible to live your life from your heart, where you could trust your feeling and know with a knowing beyond fact, beyond ideas of right or wrong, that there was a deeper purpose to your life, then you’ve already connected with your spiritual heart – that centre of feeling we experience in our chest.

When we meditate, some part of us is searching for something that feels so important, and yet it’s something we seem to have forgotten. It can’t be our brain doing the searching because our brain would remember something as important as the feeling we experience as part of that search… wouldn’t it? If it’s not our brain searching, perhaps it’s our heart, and maybe our heart knows, because our spirit is safely nestled inside.

When we connect with our spiritual heart we connect to that part of us specifically designed to receive and share the unconditional Love from the Source of Love. The search we are on is one that our very lives are designed to help our hearts remember. A new-born baby speaks directly to our heart. That’s not an ‘energetic exchange’ between mother and child, that we see and feel; that’s unconditional Love, and we all know it to our core. We know it through our hearts. Other moments – a walk along a beach, a sunset or sunrise, intimacy with another human – remind us of a deeper purpose in our life.

We are meant to be happy. We are supposed to be joyful. Given that every negative emotion we experience – anger, sadness, disappointment, jealousy, envy, blocks our heart, could it be possible that we are the butt of one of the biggest cosmic jokes, which tells us that suffering is a part of the human condition?

In reality, the negative emotions we experience in our lives happen because we have stopped accepting the Love that flows continuously to our heart. We have covered up our heart so the Light and Love cannot touch it. We don’t know it can be opened so easily by turning away from fear. Tragically, many of us don’t even know we have a “spiritual” heart.

The truth is this: an open heart is the safest place to be. It’s where our relationship with the Source of Unconditional Love is at its strongest. Whatever challenges us in our lives only does so because we have blocked that connection by focussing on the negativity, which is something we are all too familiar with. It’s what fear does to us. It makes us look at the pain, to worry about it, and the more we do that, the more we block the Love. Turning away from fear and towards Love is not easy to do. It seems we would rather stick with the suffering we know, than the salvation we’re not sure is waiting for us if we choose the Love. Rumi said: Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction.
