Go for gold

I rode my bike through the Marin Headlands to find a quiet spot to enjoy the scenery. The area is usually filled with tourists during the day but it isn’t crowded at dusk. I decided to take advantage of the quiet and continue on through the Headlands. I found myself in the clouds, completely alone and undisturbed, looking down at the Golden Gate Bridge from 270 metres up. Each time I’m in San Francisco, I return here to escape the crowds and appreciate the beauty of the Golden City from above.

The Golden Gate Bridge is painted International Orange, though in the ’30s the US Navy wanted black and yellow stripes
