PARIS GAVE LON­DON THE RITZ and now Lon­don has ex­ported its own ho­tel con­cept, with The Hox­ton Paris bring­ing a touch of the 21st-cen­tury East End to the 2ème ar­rondisse­ment (from £145; the­hox­ton.com). The fifth Hox­ton is due to open soon in New York’s Wil­liams­burg, pipped by The Wil­liams­burg Ho­tel. Af­ter an ear­lier soft launch, the lat­ter is now set to un­veil its rooftop bar and pool (from £160; thewil­liams­burgho­tel.com). When colder weather comes to New York, Sri Lanka will be in prime sea­son. The Wild Coast Tented Lodge brings sa­fari-style posh tents to an In­dian Ocean beach­side spot by Yala Na­tional Park (from £290; re­splen­dentcey­lon.com). In stopover favourite Qatar, florid fan­tasies run riot at The Mon­drian Doha (from £210; mor­gan­shotel­group.com).
