Park fees

Lonely Planet (UK) - - Classified Directory Worldwide Travel -

Banff and Jasper National Parks cover vast areas of the Rockies, and are crossed by important highways. Drivers passing straight through the parks do not need to pay visitor fees, but anyone planning to stop or stay within their boundaries needs to buy a pass on entry. There are frequent checks within both parks (pc.gc.ca/banff; pc.gc.ca/ jasper). In this guide, we’ve marked attractions within the parks as ‘free’ if they don’t need an extra fee to visit.
