Hot new gear

Mac Format - - CONTENTS - £TBA (Kickstarter)

What is it? Gaze upon it and gasp. This Bluetooth-enabled keyboard for computers and mobile devices is based on a vintage typewriter, right down to the clickety-clack feel of the keys as you tippity-tap (we’ll stop now). It has 84 keys, is compatible with both Macs and PCs and has a tablet stand that’s ideal for your iPad. The one you see here is a prototype, so exact specs and appearance are subject to change. When’s it due? August 2015. Why are we excited? Its steampunk aesthetics give Qwerkywriter a real oldschool appeal; it looks like something you’d find in BioShock. Is it comfy to type on? We’ve no idea, but it’s here because, well, it’s just beautiful, isn’t it?
