How can I wake up Bluetooth devices?

Mac Format - - APPLETALK -

Ever since installing OS X 10.9.5 I regularly get connection issues with my Bluetooth devices when I wake my Mac up. When I look at the menu from the Bluetooth icon, the item shows as connected but without a battery percentage. Even deleting the device and adding it again rarely works. I’ve tried several cures including parameter resets and replacing the batteries, but I usually have to reboot. Sean I’m not aware of any convincingly documented bug in Mavericks that could cause this. Bluetooth can be quite temperamental, but since rebooting seems to be a reliable fix, I may have a more convenient workaround for you. The Terminal commands you’d rebooted. You can automate this a bit more using Automator; start it and create a new ‘Application’. Drag the ‘Run AppleScript’ action from the Utilities section, to the workflow. Add
