Quickly rename files
In Yosemite, you can batch-rename files right in the Finder. Open a new Finder window and select all the files you want to rename by ß- clicking the first and last file (if they’re all together), or ç- clicking each one (if they’re not). ≈- click over the files and choose ‘Rename x items’, where ‘x’ is the number selected from the list. In the window that pops up, you can choose how to format the files and whether to replace or add text.
