iPhone, iOS 8, ac­ces­sories and apps that can con­nect to the Health app

(op­tional) Peo­ple have been us­ing iOS de­vices to mon­i­tor their phys­i­cal ac­tiv­ity for years, mainly with apps that record things man­u­ally. Now, though, iOS 8 fea­tures a new app that gath­ers in­for­ma­tion from var­i­ous sources – so you don’t have to open one app for your dig­i­tal scales, a dif­fer­ent app for your fit­ness band, another that tracks your cy­cling and so on, just to get an idea of how you are do­ing with your health and fit­ness. Ap­ple’s Health app pulls this data to­gether so you can more eas­ily check how well you’re do­ing, rather than putting the bur­den on you to cor­re­late statis­tics from var­i­ous sources and try­ing to an­a­lyse them.
